Renée Brecht-Mangiafico

I'm a project and program manager with 15+ years of experience leading initiatives across government, institutional, and corporate environments in New Jersey.

My work sits at a specific intersection: I understand public-sector constraints and stakeholder complexity, I hold a PMP and an MPA, and I've spent the last several years deliberately building hands-on technical capability — earning a Microsoft AI-900 certification, completing data and automation coursework, and learning to use AI tools as a genuine productivity lever rather than a talking point.

That combination is the thing I keep coming back to. A lot of PMs hand off technical work and manage the output. I prefer to understand what I'm managing — and increasingly, to build parts of it myself. This site is an example of that: I directed Claude to build it, using a workflow I designed and can explain to anyone who asks.

The work I find most compelling sits at the intersection of project management, business intelligence, and AI. Organizations — especially in government and the public sector — are sitting on data they can't use and facing technology change they're not structured to manage. I'm deliberately building the capability to help with both: not as a technologist, but as a PM who understands the tools well enough to lead the work intelligently.
